Hello, I'm Leah!
I’m the owner and founder of The Bramble Baking Co. Having loved baking with my Mum and Grandma throughout my childhood, my passion for creating homemade treats never went away. At the age of 14, my Mum decided that we were going to make cupcakes for my Uncle’s 40th Birthday. Neither of us had piped a cupcake before, and, after getting some tips and tricks from a baker friend we were on our way.
It was then that I discovered that I could actually pipe a cupcake pretty well! Having also being diagnosed with Coeliac Disease a few years prior, I was always rooting to find and tweak recipes to make them gluten free – only pushing my baking passion further.

After leaving school a few years later, I decided to sell cupcakes to friends and family. This then grew to finding the confidence to make cakes. However, my ambition at the time was to train to be a teacher; I went through college and university to do my training, with baking eventually dropping off due to time constraints. Whilst working as a full-time primary school teacher, I baked where I could, and knew that being a cake maker was something I could only dream of doing full time.
However in November 2023, after 6 years of teaching, I made the biggest leap of faith to become a cake maker full time and launch my own business. It was truly the best decision I have made.
Now, I spend the majority of my days creating beautiful and delicious cakes, cupcakes and treats that are baked from scratch from my home. I am incredibly lucky to have a job which excites me every day, always designing something new and fulfilling the most wonderful orders. I truly love my job and I hope that my customers can see this through the creations that I make.
